About Me

"Confidence in your ability is the greatest gift you can give yourself"

-Rachel Blumenthal

Hello everyone! Welcome to my website where I will showcase a few of my creative works. As a recent Media Studies MA graduate of The New School in New York City I am skilled in video editing, screenwriting, storyboarding, photograph, and design. I'm always learning and improving on my craft and welcome constructive criticism and mentors. I love to act on the side and hope to work in television, film and theater in the near future as a creative producer, writer and actor.

Fun Fact: I love all things Disney and worked as an entertainment cast member in the Disney Store for 3 years, and as a DCP intern in Walt Disney World for 1 year.

Ishmael Levi Interview

In the spring of 2019, one of my first video production assignments was to film and edit an interview with musician and performer Ishmael Levi. This was a collaborative effort by the spring 2019 media design class as together we filmed the interview. Each student on there own took the same footage and created their own unique final video interview.

Video and Sound: Students of the media design class.

Final video edit: Laurence Tillus

Hungry Panda Promo Video

This promo video was a part of a larger project for a mock food service group project. Using the suggestions of my group leader, as well as footage shot by members of the group over zoom, I was able to create and edit a fun and informative promo video.

A Conversation: 400 years of inequality

A video dialogue discussing inequality in the black community and how it continues to affects us, 400 years after the first African slaves were brought over to Jamestown. This important conversation was led by Melissa Tillus for the purpose of a class project dedicated to this important anniversary in our history.

starring: Melissa Tillus, Bianca, Naiema, and Crystal.

La Grande Mela Promo Video

Another fun class project, La Grande Mela is a mock service to help individuals of Italian descent to be more in touch with their culture. For my part of this project I helped to create a video promoting La Grande Mela's next cultural event, a cooking class.

Fun Fact: La Grande Mela translates to The Big Apple.

Flavors of Haiti is a passion project and short documentary series showcasing the Caribbean island of Haiti, through the making of food and storytelling by members of the Haitian community. This is a continued work in progress that I was able to develop and continue to refine as a class project. Together with a small team of 4 I was able to create social media posts, a mock promo video (above), logos, a website and so much more. I hope to bring Flavors of Haiti to the public in the very near future and look forward to the Journey of showcasing the country and culture I love so much. Video footage and some images were captured by me, the final edit of the promo video was done by a talented member of my team. To view more of this larger project please click on the logo above to visit the website for Flavors of Haiti.

Thank you!
